Custom Order Spotlight: “I’m Tired of This Grandpa”

One of our recent custom orders turned into a perfect gift. Safe to say… it was a hit! 😆
One of the best parts about doing custom orders is seeing random ideas turn into something real. This one was a fun one, too!
My supervisor, Teala, reached out wanting a custom shirt made for one of our coworkers’ birthdays. Apparently, he’s obsessed with the quote from the movie Holes:
“I’m tired of this grandpa.”
“That’s too damn bad!”
So, we brought it to life on a shirt.
Honestly, this is one of those designs that just works. It’s funny, it’s recognizable, and it hits even better if you know the reference. What made it even better is how it played out. She didn’t think I’d get it done as quickly as I did, so she ended up giving it to him about a month early instead of waiting for his birthday.
But it actually worked out perfectly, because she said he absolutely loved it, and that’s really what this is all about. It’s not just about printing shirts. It’s about taking something specific to someone, whether it’s an inside joke, a quote, or an idea, and turning it into something they actually get excited about.
